Locations

Denmark is a small coastal town in Western Australia’s Great Southern region, and with plentiful attractions and natural wonders. It’s easy to become captivated by the beauty of the area.

Denmark is situated next to the Wilson Inlet and surrounded by farmland and National Parks and forests, which are home to the impressive Marri, Karri, Jarrah and Giant Tingle trees. Denmark is within an hour’s drive from small towns Walpole, and Nornalup, and the major centre of Albany.

One of the most popular attractions to the area is the Valley of the Giants Treetop Walk, which is an elevated walkway about 40 metres high that allows visitors to walk amongst the canopy of the 400+ year old Giant Tingle trees, with some spectacular views. The Ancient Empires walk gives you a view from the ground of the magnificent trees and the surrounding natural bushland. Not far away is the Giant Tingle Tree, famous for being the oldest, and largest girthed eucalypt in the world. With its fire-hollowed trunk, in times past visitors could park a car underneath it.

Greens Pool is a beautiful sheltered beach with turquoise waters, a perfect spot for a swim. It is sheltered by rock formations, and not far around the corner is another popular spot for visitors, known as Elephant Rocks. These rocks are known for resembling a herd of elephants, due to their solid, rounded and very large shapes. The beach here is also very sheltered.

The vast natural beauty of the area is perfect for photography, you could easily spend weeks and still have more to explore!
