Photo Paper Print

Photo paper prints are carefully rolled with a protective layer of clear film and placed into a strong tube for post or pick-up. They are a great option for international orders or travellers. The photo paper we normally print onto has a lustre or semi-gloss surface. Metallic-look gloss and matt cotton rag paper are also available upon request. Prints come with the location written in the bottom left and a signature in the bottom right. These can be omitted upon request.

Our frames are locally made in Busselton. We use wooden frames with a high-quality surface finish in a popular range of colours (see below). Your artwork is preserved by the use of acid-free mat board and backing board and protected behind quality glazing. Unstretched Canvas Print

Unstretched canvas prints are supplied laminated and ready for stretching. The print is rolled and placed into a strong tube for post or pick-up. This is a great option for travellers and overseas customers. We use the mirror wrap method to print our images (see "mirror wrap" below). Prints come with the location written in the bottom left and a signature in the bottom right. These can be omitted upon request.

Stretched Canvas – Mirror Wrap

Stretched canvas is when the canvas is stretched over a frame. It is a completed ready-to-hang product. A portion of the image is mirrored at the front edges and is wrapped around the side of the frame which means that none of the image is lost. The appearance gives a seamless flow from the front to the sides of the finished artwork. Stretched canvas is one of the best and most affordable ways of producing large images. They are light, making handling easy and they don’t have the reflection issues associated with glass. High-quality canvas prints can have a 3-dimensional effect, like looking through a window to the scene itself. Prints come with the location written in the bottom left and a signature in the bottom right. These can be omitted upon request.

Stretched Canvas with Shadow frame

A Shadow Frame is an additional frame that fits around the stretched canvas. It provides a very distinctive trim around the image. Shadow frames are available in a wide variety of modern and classic finishes.

Face mount Acrylic

The photo is mounted directly to a sheet of optical grade acrylic using a specially formulated clear adhesive. The image is viewed through the acrylic. The end result is a very modern and minimalist presentation. There is no frame around the image but there is a support frame behind the acrylic from which the artwork is hung.

Aluminium Mounted

The photo image is laminated to protect the surface and mounted to a thin sheet of aluminium. The end result is a very modern and minimalist presentation. There is no frame around the image but there is a support frame behind the aluminium from which the artwork is hung.

Canvas laminate protection

Canvas should always have a protective laminate over the printed surface before stretching. We spray our canvas prints with several coats of Ilford's Canvas Protect laminate to enhance and protect your investment. It provides scratch resistance, seals the printed surface of the canvas and provides a cleanable surface. A properly laminated canvas can be safely dusted and wiped with a clean water-dampened cloth.
