Locations

Margaret River has a perfect climate for wine making and has achieved worldwide acclaim for the excellent wines produced in the area. Many of the wineries are very picturesque and offer a beautiful setting for wine tasting and gourmet experiences. Margaret River is one of the most visited locations in Western Australia due to its fine wine, culinary reputation, and the variety of galleries and local artisans. Margaret River offers excellent accommodation options for all budgets making it a place where everyone can come and enjoy its many beautiful natural and manmade attractions. The river runs alongside the townsite and through picturesque forests, all the way to the nearby coastal town of Prevelly. The town of Prevelly is a surfing hotspot in Western Australia and the Margaret River Mouth and nearby Surfers Point are host to international surfing events.
The region is also abundant with dramatic coastline and has lots of popular swimming and surfing beaches. It is also an area popular with rock climbers who visit the Wilyabrup cliffs. The famous Cape to Cape track traverses the coast and offers bushwalkers some of the most scenic and up-close nature experiences available in the area and is a highly sought-after experience for many bushwalkers, naturalists, and photographers. There are also several caves in the Margaret River area which afford travellers a rare opportunity to experience the magical world of stalactites and stalagmites and many other cave formations. The Boranup forest is another stunning sight to see when driving along Caves road. The forest is predominantly Karri trees and there is a roadside lookout which gives an excellent elevated view of the forest. Boranup drive is an unsealed road that takes visitors on a journey through the forest. Many other beautiful locations such as Cape Mentelle and Boranup Beach can be accessed by 4WD for those with the experience and equipment.
