Esperance Photography – Western Australia
Esperance is a town located along the scenic Southern Ocean coastline. Tourism, agriculture and fishing are the largest industries on the town. Esperance is well known to tourists who love the extremely white, sandy beaches and stunning turquoise waters. It’s perfect for those who love surfing, scuba diving and swimming, all whilst enjoying the incredible scenery. Hikers and four-wheel-drive enthusiasts will also find a vast area to explore.
The area is also home to numerous salt lakes, including the famous Pink Lake, once known for its pink coloured water caused by red algae. Unfortunately, this lake is no longer pink due to the effect of nearby development which has damaged the ecosystem. Fortunately, there is another pink lake called lake Hillier on Middle Island which is 70 nautical miles from Esperance and is part of the spectacular Recherche Archipelago. Middle Island is accessible via flights and cruises as are several other locations within the Archipelago.
The Archipelago of the Recherche, or Bay of Isles, is a group of 105 islands of which the western group is scattered nearest to the Esperance coastline. Several of the islands can be seen from the Esperance coastline and form a beautiful backdrop to this already stunning scenic location
Nearby are several national parks including Cape Le Grand, Fitzgerald River, Stokes, Cape Arid and Peak Charles allowing visitors to experience the wilderness this beautiful area has to offer.
