Just a short walk along a trail from Greens Pool is another popular spot, known as Elephant Rocks. These rocks are known for resembling a herd of elephants, due to their rounded and enormous shapes. Elephant Rocks is usually very sheltered as it is a small cove inside a natural barrier of large granite rocks that protect it from the incoming swells from the Southern Ocean. The short walk to Elephant Rocks takes you through a narrow gap between some enormous granite boulders and opens out onto a small protected little beach with shallow calm water that is perfect for swimming. Elephant Rocks is a marine nature sanctuary and is home to a wide variety of marine life making it a great place for snorkeling. It is one of the absolute highlights of the William Bay National Park and is quite close to the popular southwest town of Denmark. The area facilities have recently been upgraded to accommodate an increase in tourist visitation as images and experiences about this area spread by mouth and social media. Just a short walk along a trail from Elephant Rocks is another popular spot, known as Greens Pool, and a short drive within the national park will bring you to two pristinely beautiful beaches called Madfish Bay and Waterfall beach.
