Canal Rocks Photography – Landscape Photography of Western Australia

Locations

Canal Rocks is an impressive rock structure that forms a natural breakwater in the Yallingup region. It breaks down the often large swells coming in off the Indian ocean which makes the water in the nearby bay relatively protected and calm. It is one of a very few places along this area of coastline where boats can be launched into this Indian Ocean. Canal rocks affords some adventurous and fun rock climbing opportunities that most reasonably agile people can enjoy. The views from some of the peaks are very impressive and afford great photo opportunities. There is also a timber bridge that has been built to allow people to view the ocean swells impacting upon the large rocks nearby. The Cape to Cape walking track passes through this area and provides additional opportunities to explore the nearby coastline. Care should always be taken in this location, especially when the swells are large and the currents are strong. This collection of Canal Rocks Photography is available as framed and unframed prints and stretched canvas.
