Locations

Bunker Bay is one of the regions most beautiful locations. It is quite near to the tip of Cape Naturaliste and experiences more of the Indian Ocean swells than other Geographe Bay areas, making it a popular surf location, particularly in winter. In summer the water is usually calm and its colour and clarity are outstanding. The beach is quite long and a playground for a wide range of seaside activities from swimming and snorkelling to fishing and surfing. At the southern end of the bay, there is a very impressive area of rocky coastline aptly named Rocky Point. It is well worth the walk along the beach to Rocky Point as it offers elevated views across the entire length of Bunker Bay. At the northern end of the bay is the secluded Shelly Beach with its impressive limestone cliffs. Whales, dolphins and seals are commonly seen in these waters.
